Oh yeah, that is cool!

Hey strength seekers.  You are going to love this.  A new addition to make your SG tools more versatile.  This came about from doing a custom pinch block that Frank wanted exxtended on the gripping surface and also usable with olympic plates.  The Leverage pinch blocks are humbling and little blocks of dynamite for your wrist, thumb and pinch strength.  I've made them with olympic horns before.  But this time I wanted to have the option for standard and olympic....enter the SG sliding Olympic horn!  The horn takes olympic weights and it slides over the original 1" shaft.  You lock it down with the Pitt-Bull collar that's welded on the bottom side.  Loosen it up and slide it to your leverage level.  I will be making these available in different lengths so they can be used with GripBall dummbells and Leverage Blocks and balls.  So, if you've been holding off because you wanted to use olympic plates,  it won't be long.  And another treat for you Gripball dumbbell fans, besides soon being able to use olympic plates with them I have a connector bar that will turn set of Gripball dumbbells into a GripBall Barbell!  Oh, man that is cool!  No pictures on the converter bar yet.  But take a look at the olympic horn.  The Super Grip Machine was backordered and I have the final two going out Monday.  I had boxes ordered and they just arrived today.  The SGM is a Heavy Duty Grip Machine.  Floor dimensions are 15" x 29" x 30" tall.  It has a very nice and comfortable height and is ready to give you the Grip you've been dreaming about.  Have a great weekend!

Train like an athlete

Hey strength seekers.  I apologize for the time between posts.  Business for SG has been growing steadily and you all are making it happen.  As with any business, you have manufacturing, shipping  and packaging, accts. payable, accts receivable, marketing, product development and so on.  Well, here at SG I'm the one who does it all.  Oh yeah, and work another full time job and spend time with family and train.  I have several projects in the works and new ideas.  TIME.  That's all I need.   Consistency and a BIG dream keep me going.
So, training.  How do you train?  What do you train for and why do you train?  Questions that only you have the answers for.  If you have no training purpose, you'll lose the spark that keeps you going.  Training to be functional and healthy are good starters.  Who doesn't want to be healthier and able to perform when needed.  You see more and more athletes training with kettlebells, sledge hammers, clubs and other tools that helps them keep their edge and perform at a higher level.  With good reason, these tools are terriffic for building the kind of strength, functionality and game on edge that's needed for top athletes.  They are also terriffic for the everyday person wanting to get fit but not knowing what to do or not looking to go to a regular gym.  With the DVDs and information that'll show you how.  These tools are simple, brutal and extremely effective for reaching your goals.  Big or small.
Want to get healthy, fit and ready for action? Go to StrongerGrip and check out the new homepage and get some tools to get you started.
Stay strong.

Sledge and Mace Conditioning

Hey strength seekers.  The last week of October is here.  On Halloween the Monster sale ends.  Your chance to save $73.00 on two great tools.   Mace and sledge swinging are both fantastic ways to get conditioned fast.  The mace is a powerful tool that teaches core activationa and body coordination.  Watch someone who has never swung one before and then someone who knows thier mace, you'll see what I mean.  I must say that kettlebellers take to mace training quickly.  They know the basics of swinging a weight.  It's much different than normal weight training.  Your body works as a unit and you use your arms to connect to the implement and swing from your core as opposed to muscling it with your arms.  Get the Monster on sale now or get a standard or short mace and start swinging.   I love sledge swinging or smashing.  Sledgehammer training conditions your body and teaches you impact readiness.  It's more than just hitting a tire, you must be aware of what your body is doing, or what your body should be doing when you are swinging the sledge.  Great for combat athletes.  As in striking or kicking,  sledgehammer smashing teaches and increases your force delivered upon impact.   Grab a SG loadable Sledge and get the benefits of Sledge training and also with one Sledge you get an infinite number of weight options in one indestructible tool.  My friend Rocannon from Primal fitness uses his Monster to hit a dirt pile.  He says it's fantastic, especially with the large Monster Sledge face.

Enjoy the day!

Strength amplifiers

Hey strength seekers.  Hope your having an awesome Friday and your pursuit of strength is going strong.  Whether you are a bodybuilder, strongman, powerlifter or other athlete when you train with dynamic implements like clubs, maces or kettlebells they have an effect that amplifies your strength and takes you to the next level.  I beleive the reason is when you are taming these implements your are not using only one bodypart but the body as a whole to move and control the weight.  When you swing for reps you are building whole body conditioning and that translates to strength in all aspects of your game.  And as a bonus you feel more mobile, flexible and ready for action than traditional types of training.  Get on board and start swinging.
If you are into finger strength or armwrestling, you must go check out FPGripper.com and see Mighty Joes NEW gripper.  I can't wait till I get mine.
Thanks to those who have taken advantage of the Monster Sale.  You have one more spooky week till Halloween and the sale is over.
Have a great weekend.

StrongerGrip Adjustable Pull-Up Bar

Hey Strength seekers. I had to give you one more thing for the day. Here is a custom pull-up bar. It has 4" Globes that can be taken off and slid onto other 1" handles such as a deadlift handle for a loading pin. It can also be adjusted from 25" out to 40". It hangs over an existing pull up bar. Very Cool. Look for something more out of this. Like pinch blocks that slide over the 1" bar and of course different size globes!

Enjoy!

Strongman Show Dumbbell, Custom Clubs

Hello strength seekers. October is here. My head is spinning and I've been a tornado of activity. I'm finishing a couple of Strongman Combo sets that are absolutely incredible. Also sending out a set of custom short clubs. 16" overall length. Empty -11 lbs and max weight approx. 18 lbs with steel shot. I have the strength bands ready to roll, so they will be used on the custom globe stuff. These are super tough. 1" wide and 3/8" thick!! So I took my preloaded 8" show dumbbell and revamped it with the bands and repainted it. It is 100 lbs empty and can load up to 170-180 lbs. Check it out. If you read stuff on blog and are waiting for it to happen, shoot me an email to remind me. With a regular job, wife and kids and all the SG orders, I get lost in the whirlwind of everything going on. I have some numbers I want to reach before I say hasta la vista to the regular job, but it is on the horizon. Then I'll be able to pursue the hundreds of other ideas flying around in my head. The continued pursuit of your dreams gives you energy to do things you didn't think possible.

Train hard and follow your dreams.

Hey strength seekers. A quick post before the weekend. Check out the thumb wrenching Thumbbell and the Old School Dumbbell for Mighty Joe. Super Busy and NEW tool!

Hey Strength seekers. WOW. I was bombarded with T-Bomb and Super Grip Machine orders. I almost have them all filled. That's what I get for having a sale. I think most of you who follow Stronger Grip know that each order placed is made by me and that all things SG are built with a passion for strength and attention to quality like no other. So, I thank all of you who support my cause. A BIG HUGE THANKS! Now, to me this is sooo cool. My mind never rests, at this moment it's 2:15 AM and I just finished two proto types of a little something I am going to call the StrongerGrip Thumbbell. What is so darn cool is that hours ago the Thumbbell was just an idea that came to me while I was on the throne.(Too much info I know). Anywho, I always carry a pen and scratch paper with me at all times, never know when an idea will hit. Armed with my idea and of course my mad skills of metal. I made reality which was only an idea hours before and waa-laa, a NEW tool was made. I've been having trouble with my card tearing and this little creation should help out. I'll post some pictures by the end of the week. You'll love em!

SALE ends tomorrow! Playing frisbee with a brick.

Hey strength seekers. Tomorrow is the last day to get the Super Grip Machine, T-Bomb, and Monster Sledge on sale. Don't wait.

One quick thing. Questions on mace swinging and alternatives. You have heard it I'm sure, can't I just use a sledgehammer and do the same thing? My answer is I suppose, and you could use a brick to play frisbee with if you want to. Or a broomstick and milk jugs for olympic lifting. My friends, if you are serious about strength and getting it, you will find it beneficial to get high quality gear to train with. And when it comes down to it, the cost isn't that much of an issue when you look at some things you've spent money on and have nothing to show. I know the feeling of wanting to do it yourself, I've been there and what I've found is the time it takes, the safety of what you've created and well, how it looks doesn't really save you anything. Now on mace swinging, the length is different from a long mace and a sledge. When learning the basic swing, you will probably hit your backside. The head of a sledge will leave leave you wincing more than a globe. Then with the ability to load your mace from 10 lbs to 26lbs or more, that alone is an amazing deal!

So go play frisbee with a brick if you want to, just be careful.

T-Bomb is HERE!

Hello strength seekers.
If you receive the Stronger Grip newsletter you already know the T-Bomb and the Super Grip Machine are available. The T-Bomb comes in three sizes and both can be yours on sale right now! Here is the T-Bomb link. For info on Super Grip Machine shoot me an email. You'll save $50 on it, but only till the 16th of this month.
I received a call from Charles Wilson, who loves his Super Grip Machine and he also has the T-Bomb. He started off saying that his attorney will be getting intouch with me for creating such an evil tool. And that was only after messing around with it and not even a real workout. So, I said your welcome. He was kidding about the attorney. I think?.!
What to do with the T-Bomb? Like the kettlebell swing, the T-Bomb swing is an amazing exercise. A very tough exercise is the T-Bomb clean and press. Similar feel to the k-bell bottoms up. But more evil. The T-Bomb drop. Grab it and drop and catch with other hand, back and forth. Same with swing, let go and grab, repeat.
It's a fun and effective tool. Get one NOW! You have till the 16th to take advantage of the sale.

Holiday-Sale on New Items!

Hello strength seekers. Wishing everyone a safe and wonderful Holiday weekend. You have seen the posts on the New Super Grip Machine and the T-Bomb. I will be getting out a newsletter with details on how to get these awesome grip tools at a discounted price before they go live on the SG site. So if you have not signed up for the Newletter and tips, get over to the SG home page and sign up! Look for the Newsletter on Monday! And the Monster Sledge is also on sale until the 16th of Sept. So do not wait. Get one now! A little perspective on sledehammers. They are an excellent tool for leveraging, smashing, swinging. On prices of sledges. When you buy sledgehammers from your hardware store, they'll run you on average $20.00. That is for one weight. 8, 10, 12, 20 lb. are common sizes. Say you bought these. That's $80. You have 4 hammers. They either have wood handles or fiberglass ones. They are subject to damage. The SG Sledgehammers weigh either 9 lbs or 19 lbs empty and load to 25 lbs to 50 lbs. The range of weights you have is huge. Then if you are leveraging, the 2lb or more jump can be very big, whereas if you load ounces at a time, the next thing you know you are leveraging big weights. And the construction of the SG hammers is second to none! If you are doing some remodeling the SG sledge will help in the destruction part. They are crazy tough! I have a cool video I'll be posting soon of some conditioning with the hammers on with a unique tire setup. Stay tuned.

On a video note. I've been doing some awesome SG club training and will also be sharing some swinging videos using the 3" ball on end of clubs. You will like it! A lot.

Enjoy your family and friends!

The T-Bomb-revisited

Hello strength seekers and welcome to Monday. Do you love Mondays? If not, why? Everyday should be just as awesome! I'm revisiting the StrongerGrip T-Bomb. Here are two videos from last year. T-bomb/Anvil trainer , T-bomb Cleans. What is the T-Bomb? It is a 3" Globe with a T attached for loading plates. Why? To work your grip in a new way and work your fingers, forearm, and hand strength. Cleans and press, T-Bomb swings ( like kettlebell) and deadlifts are a few exercises that will have you cursing SG for making such an evil tool. Why call it T-Bomb? First, I reccomend swinging or using is a safe are. Outside is great to start, otherwise use light weight and work your way up. Now, when this leaves your hand because you are no longer able to hold it, that's when the you'll say Oh, I get it, bomb! Initially I offered the T-Bomb to 10 people. They got em and the feedback was positive. Since I've been getting emails wondering where it went. Well, I've made a few changes, and am happy with the design and will be having it ready by next week! You have seen the Super Grip Machine, look to be able to get one for yourself in a week or two. Check out the pics of the NEW 3" T-Bomb.

Have an awesome Monday!

Getting Stronger- The weekend is here!

Hey Strength seekers, hope your getting stronger and enjoying the weekend. I'm doing both. It's my wife Dawn and I 12th wedding anniversary. And we get to spend it alone, well at least today. Mom and Dad watching kids, yeah! Now to talk about strength. I want everyone to know that I am the absolute definition of ordinary. I was not born strong, I do not have genetic gifts, and things do not come quick or easy to me. I also do not have time to train. I make time and because most of the SG training tools can be taken with you, I train where ever I'm at. Not always at great lengths but strength comes from short sessions consistently. Not long drawn out ones. Changing gears here, my pursuits in the strength realm have evolved from my first glimpse of my Dads weider courses, which involved body weight exercises, those got me hooked. Feeling and knowing that I had the power to transform my body and control how good I felt. To stumbling on Pavels wealth of info on stretching, I was training in TaeKwonDo and received my black belt, so Pavels stretching was most effective and as always focused on the right way to do something. And of course kettlebells came into the equation. A new world of strength opened. Then surfing the net, lo and behold someone had some DVD's that would show me,(a super ordinary dude) to rip phone books, bend steel and drive nails through boards with my bare hand! WOW! Another revelation. Dennis Rogers is his name and he has been an inspiration that helped move Stronger Grip in a bigger direction. All these different influences have helped me take my strength levels to where they are now. Not the strongest in the world but definitely stronger than I was or thought I could be. I want you to know that strength is a journey, a quest and if you are on your quest, keep steady and focused. Know that strength takes time. Lasting strength that will be with you and amaze yourself and others with it. And I hope you find that on your quest you become not only physically stronger but that your spirit grows and you are more equipped to take on life's challenges and that this strength your building gives you power to also help others and share your strength with someone that needs either your physical strength or the strength from within that helps them find out who they are. Because brothers and sisters strength training will certainly let you know who you are and best of all you can decide who you want to become.

Everyone have a fantastic weekend! Gods Peace & Strength!

I'll leave you with a couple of pictures. A custom long handled 10" loadable Dumbbell.(sweet) And a NEW pinch block attachment for the Gut Wrench.

Waking up: How to get your body ready to roll

Hello Strength seekers. Monday morning. Beginning of a new week. Do you wake up ready to take on the day? Do you jump out of bed with fire in your eyes and pep in your step? I wish I did. I usually stay up too late and get up too early. So, after rolling out of bed I make a point to get active immediately. This can consist of some joint mobility, basic callastentics or my favorite, some lighter short mace swinging. The mace swinging is a combo of joint mobility and has a great body awareness factor that is like jump starting your body and getting it tuned up for the day. Start slowly with this morning ritual and soon you'll be jumping up and moving quicker with less aches and pains that usually accompany the morning wake up.
Check out a new bending and short mace swinging video. The bending took place after an attempt of 1/4" hex stock which was a battle that ended with a slight bend but no Finish. The short fat handled mace I'm swinging has a 2" handle, and loaded to 26 lbs. I like to do the fast swinging in short bursts. I'll do 10 swings each direction, as fast as I can then rest for a short period then do it again and keep repeating. Doing this is amazing for wrist and grip control, activating the core, and overall conditioning. As you are swinging fast you must keep grounded. Meaning you have to activate the tension from your feet on up to control the mace. Especially the heavier it gets.
Have a great Monday!

Expanding the DREAM!

Hello Strength seekers. Another Friday! I'm loving life as usual. Kids started back to school, my wife and I have a aniversary next week. I am truly a blessed man. Stronger Grip is going all over the world and I can not stop coming up with New ideas! Sometimes this makes me lose focus, but it also keeps things exciting. There are a few things that I beleive will be massive and very pivotal in the life of SG and myself. Right now I'm going to leave it at that. It a nut shell the dream is growing! I'm going to get some short mace speed swinging on video this weekend and also the jaw lift is back and I'll get a vid of that also. Check out these sweet custom Farmers Walk implements for my man Dean. They look like something out of the new GI Joe movie, which I want to see. Almost went last weekend, but instead The Ugly Truth was movie of choice. Yes, I went with my LOML. Love of my life is what that stands for. Thats what I use when I text my sweetheart. Ok enough mushy stuff. I have a set of 12" Loadable Globes that turn your olympic barbell into a old school barbell. I've been using mine for clean and jerks and other explosive movements. They are the BOMB! I've gotten tons of requests for their availability after posting the phone book ripping video with them in the background. They are about a month away from being released. They will come in a set that includes (2) 12" Loadable Globes and (1) dumbbell handle. These have been great fun to train with. Also showing a pic of a 10" Stronger Grip Loadable Barbell that has the strength bands around the globes for strength and coolness. The 12" ones also have these bands. 1" wide x 3/8" thick, brutal. Last is a link for a video showing the Red Rafter and a New product Wrist Developer.
The Wrist Developer has been around and a handful of the Strongest men have one. Otherwise it hasn't been available. It will be soon, so stay tuned!
Have a fantastic weekend.

Stronger Grip and Strongmen

Hello Strength Seekers. It's Friday and the weekend is here! Last weekend my fellow strongman Mike Gillette and I went to a local Strongman contest and set up a Stronger Grip booth. I like the internet and the unlimited potential for sales, but I love getting to where the people are and seeing their reactions and getting some feedback face to face. There were some incredibly strong dudes and everyone had a great time. For the farmers walk event Stronger Grip awarded the winner in each class a SG tool. The leverage Blocks and GripBall Dumbbells were the prizes. They were well recepted and both are a great place to start your grip training. Here is a strong wrist routine that I use to help with my steel bending.
Using either the Red Rafter or 2 x 4 Leverage Block.
Curls starting light for 10-15 reps each arm. 2 sets
Curls heavier for 5 reps each arm. 3 sets
When doing curls use whole body tension and flex lat and keep elbow tight to the body. This protects and amplifies your strength.
Doing that basic exercise will increase your wrist strength tremendously. The design of the leverage blocks builds and strengthens the whole wrist very aggressively, so take it slow and light and build up over a month or so if you are new to this type of training. It doesn't take long and the compactness of the block, you can take it anywhere and get a quick wrist session in. The results will carry over into your other activities.

Have a great weekend!

Stronger Grip and the American Dream

Hey Strength seekers. It's 2:30 in the morning here in Iowa. The dream is so close I can feel it. How about you? I love to dream. It makes life, training, loving & living a lot more fun. So come join me. Get dreaming. It is such a great feeling to accomplish goals that you thought were not attainable. Robert Schuller said get the word impossible out of your vocabulary, because nothing is impossible. And my friends, I believe that with all my heart. Whether it's your training, relationships, business, whatever, beleive that and watch things happen in your life! OK. So it's 2:30 in the morning, most people are sleeping. They are probably dreaming and don't even know it. Well I'm wide awake and forging my dreams into reality. Yes, I have some NEW stuff just on the verge of being released. And yes, I will offer them at a discounted rate for a limited time. One item I'll actually being doing a pre-order because it's not quite finished but I've had a roaring response, and what was seen wasn't even the whole deal! Stay focused, back to grip. I will have a new Stronger Grip tip next week. I'm going to shoot for Stronger Grip Tip of the Month instead of week. With so much going on I was not holding up my end on that. This next one is going to blow your socks off. It's a fantastic grip builder and it will be a do it yourself project that you'll get tons of use out of. This leads into another project that is on the horizon. You all know the ideas I have for grip stuff. I will be offering a Grip it Yourself Ebook, DVD that will have plans for building your own grip building equipment arsenal at a very attractive price. The book will have several detailed plans, uses and explanations on building your own stuff. The DVD will show you in more detail on how to construct, what you'll need and how to use. And if those of you who simply don't do it yourself, don't want to spend the time gathering the materials, I have plans on offering package deals on everything that you'll need for certain grip devices, so all you will have to do is a little putting together.
Get some goals, pursue your dreams and if you have a StrongerGrip, your dreams won't get away!

Mace giveaway contest

Hello Strength seekers. Ran across a very cool blog called MarksDailyApple. The man is Mark Sisson. He is one cool dude and has a very informative and fun site. A lot of his philosphy goes well with Stronger Grip. So well in fact that in the month of August he's running a contest, and one of the prizes will be a Stronger Grip Short Mace. And in my opinion the Short Mace is one of the most versatile and useful tools you could own. Whether your a bodybuilder, powerlifter, strongman, MMA fighter, or professional athlete of any kind. It is a superb tool for warming up, loosening up, and I use mine first thing when I wake up, as a good morning dynamic joint mobility eye opener. I love weight lifting, bending steel, highland games, and many other strength endeavors. The short mace fits into all these and is one of the keys for me staying healthy and injury free in my strength pursuits. As you know the shoulders and wrists take a beating when you are in hard training. I like to think that mace work is like a massage for the shoulders and wrists. Especially when keeping the weight light and the reps high. Now going heavier is more like a kick in the pants for your triceps and the whole torso, another great feeling indeed. So go check out Marks site and keep your eyes open for the contest.
Until I get some more New stuff on the SG site, I won't tease you with what else is coming!

It's Friday Strength seekers! Yeah! Hope you had a great week and are ready to enjoy the weekend. Grip strength is fun. I love it! It translate into everything thing you do. Especially the sports world. I also love grip strength because I think it's the great equalizer. You can do things that bigger and buffer dudes can not do. They could also do them, they just need some focused grip training. And StrongerGrip can ceratinly help in that department. Check out the link for the Phone Book rippin video I just put up. The strength needed for this comes from the wrists, thumb, and fingers. A great tool for building up this strength is the Leverage Blocks. They will give you a great start to building the necessary strength for feats of strength as well as packing a stronger punch, swinging a baseball bat faster, serving a mean tennis serve, as well as climbing a rocky mountain. Check em out! There is the Red Rafter and the 2X4 Leverage Block.
I plan on getting you a sneak peak video of the New Gut Wrench attachment next week. Oh, look closely in the background of the phone book video. No more hints.

Globe Style barbell- Stronger Grip

Hey Strength Seekers. Hope you've been having fun with your training, I have. You'll make more progress when your having a good time doing it. That's what I love about swinging clubs, maces, kettlebells and other shotloaded goodies I use. It's simply a good time! Then I'm training for my feats of strength with school getting ready to start, I've got to be sharp for the kids. I'm posting a couple of pics of a Stronger Grip loadable barbell. This piece has 10" loadable globes and also the handle can be loaded separately from the globes. So you can load the handle all the way up to get the bar heavier or half fill it and enjoy the off balance it'll give you. Now the overall length is 5 ft and the bar will load to approx. 190-200 lbs! And what I also did with this one is put waht I call strength bands around the perimiter of the globes. These are 1" wide and 3/8" thick. They preserve the globe from damage when dropped and just look tough! I have some phone book ripping videos that'll be going up and you must check out the background in these to get a glimpse of what you'll be seeing soon!!
Don't forget to go to Strongergrip.com and get some fun in your workouts!

New Grip-Ball Dumbbell

Hey Strength seekers, I hope you are having a fantastic weekend! I mentioned the New Gut Wrench accesory that will be available soon, there is also a New size Grip-Ball Dumbbell . It is a 3" Globe which is about 1/8" bigger than a baseball. The new size is a bit more comfortable for those with smaller hands and also for the women. Just think how big a 3" diameter straight bar is and how difficult it is to work with. The 3" Globe is easier and more comfortable to handle. As with the Stronger Grip Grip Ball dumbbells, they are a great way to add grip to your workouts using the familar dumbbells with a SG twist. You will get a whole new feel to the standard curls, rows, presses and cleans using these awesome Grip-Ball Dumbbells.
Enjoy your family and friends this weekend!

Mace Swinging In Texas

Hello strength seekers. I had a fantastic day today! Well, actually I choose to have one everyday, but today was special. I took Hanna, my 11 year old to a getmotivated seminar. If you have not been to one, they are awesome. Robert Schuller, Zig Ziglar, Rudolph Gulianni, and many others spoke and gave many lessons and much info on life and business. Now the best part to me was the inclusion of a spiritual message, that of giving your life to Christ, without being secretive. I love america and have no problem with those who do not believe in what I do, but dislike the way that us with beliefs have to take backseats to those that have none. I do not get it. I have passion for all, even those who may not care for me. That's ok. It was a refeshing day and am pumped up! Like Zig says, motivation is good for so long, and so is a shower or brushing your teeth, he recommends doing all of these on a regular basis.
Check out this video of my Texas vacation with the Stronger Grip Short Mace.
And I'll be getting a new Gut Wrench accessory on video soon.

Stronger Grip for everyone

Hey Strength seekers. It's a beautiful day in Iowa. I'm going to go on about a few different things today. First, wishing you the best on your strength journey and continued improvement. On the trip back home from Texas we drove for 15 hrs. So I had some reading and idea time. I wasn't driving of course. Read some excellent business books and also finished Brooks Kubicks' Legacy of Iron. Now, I'm a huge fan of Brooks' Dinosaur Training and if you have not read it, it's a darn shame. I'm a fan of the Strength & Health era with Bob Hoffman. I marvel at the athleticism of those guys back then, we are talking about 60 some years ago. These men were strong, powerful and could do some amazing things. Makes me wonder how the trend shifted so far away from those days? Well, I believe those days are coming back. Thanks to guys like Brooks Kubick, Dennis Rogers, John Wood and all those out there that train for strength, athleticism and being functional. It's refreshing and great to see the tide change. I have about 5 or 6 years of Strength & Health back issues. From the 30's into the 50's. I devoured every issue and really enjoyed the feats and accomplishments of these lifters. From olympic lifting to hand balancing and general feats of strength. So when I read Legacy of Iron, it clicked and I was mesmerized by the story and of how chuck full of info that was in it. It's a must read.
A great customer out of Rockford, IL who owns 40+ fitness just loves his Stronger Grip gear and so does his clients. Now he not only trains 40 + enthusiasts but also younger athletes as well. He says the Stronger Grip gear is for Every One! Thank you and I agree. As you all know Stronger Grip is getting more and more stuff all the time. Some of it not exactly aimed at grip but just overall strength and other revolutionary items. There will be some changes coming and some very cool things happening. Stay tuned and Stay Strong!

Gut Wrench Cradle and Interview

Hey strength seekers, it's Friday! Check out these videos. Follow this link to the Gut Wrench Cradle. And fellow strongman and ambassador of awesomeness Mike Gillete stopped by and you can check out this quick interview he did with me. I'm very excited, I'l be posting some pics of a Loadable Globe Barbell for Derek that turned out totally amazing! Then there is something else that I can hardly wait to share! You'll have to wait on it though.
Have a great weekend!

I'm back and Inspired!

Hey Strength seekers. It's great to be home to my beautiful wife and my little Lexi. We had a wonderful time and I loved the hot 100 degree Texas weather. I'm posting some pictures of the trip to Dino-World and you will see me squaring off with a dino, giving a dino a hard knee and then staying clear of the raptors who were surrounding us. Gotta know when to fight and when to stay low! I'll also be posting 4 or 5 short mace swinging videos. What a great tool to take anywhere. I love using it first thing in the morning. You will see some swinging by the pool, this was warming and getting me ready for some barbell cleans and presses at the complex gym. If you train with weights, a mace is a fantastic tool for warming up before and cooling down after and also in between. And on off days use it to get some fantastic mobility and active recovery going. There are a couple of videos swinging by the Dino-World entrance and then we were off to the Chisholm trail and did some swinging by an indian Tipi and on old stage coach that was used in a couple of John Wayne movies. So look for those, and get yourself a Mace and get swinging!

Mace Swinging and Dinosaur battling!

Hey Strength Seekers. Having a great time in Texas. Warm, but I love it! You are going to love the mace swinging videos to come and the pictures of battling dinosaurs! Great fun! I think the dinosaurs would have gone extinct sooner if Stronger Grip was around back then. You will see a cool short mace video being swung in front of a stage coach that was used in a few John Wayne movies!
Everyone have a safe and strong 4th of July!

On Vacation!!

Hey Strength seekers. I have not fallen off the face of the earth. I'm on vacation and regrouping. Logan, Hanna and I are in Texas visiting family and getting some R & R. Just did some short Mace swinging videos by the pool side. I'll post them on our return, because I forgot my usb cable. Before I left I got all regular orders out and have a handful of custom orders that I'll be finishing when I get back. Wait till you see these custom ones, very cool! Stronger Grip is finding it's way into the hands of sports athletes as well as the grip and strength freaks. The clubs and maces continue to be great sellers and I you will see these grow as the benefits received from using such implements complements and supports everything from hard core bending, powerlifting, rock climbing, moto-cross, tennis, golf, football, you name it and you will gain from using them. I did'nt get the Colossal or Monster Sledge listed in time for the 4th of July, so look for an initial listing sale very soon. As well as a really cool NEW item that is sure to take you back to the days of Old School lifting. I'm excited. We're off to Hurricane Harbor!!

Stronger Grip - More New Stuff!

Hey Strength Seekers. The month of June is flying by. Starting right NOW all Stronger Grip tools that use collars will come with Pitt-Bull collars. What are Pitt-Bull collars? They are collars that fit on all SG 1" standard tools, like GripBall Dumbbell, Leverage Block, & Leverage Ball. These have 2 set screws that bite down and give you a secure hold. The Price on these items will be increasing slightly, but will be well worth it. I want to stick to the high quality Stronger Grip is known for and the old cheap collars I was sending out just didn't fit the vision. While were on the Pitt-Bull Collar topic, I will have Olympic Ones available next month. The price increase on these items will take effect July 16th. Until then you will get the Pitt-Bull collar upgrade for free!
Tomorrow look for the Stronger Grip Tip Of The Week where I will show you how to make a homemade cradle for your Gut Wrench. The Gut Wrench was envisioned for the MMA Fighter to be used on the mat or outdoors to mimic being under pressure as you would move and maneuver with an opponent. I've gotten some feedback and agree that with novices the Gut Wrench can be a bit much to control. So this cradle works like magic for keeping it stable and steady. You can also put 2 cradles together and do a double Gut Wrench workout. If you don't have a Trailer Hitch for your Gut Wrench, your msising out. So look for that tomorrow.
And for myself I made a set of 2" Thick handle Clubs. These are very cool. I'll get a video this week of these also.
Till tomorrow.

Custom and New Stuff Coming!

Hey Strength Seekers. Things continue to grow at breakneck speed here at Stronger Grip. I simply do not have enough time to get everything I want done, yet. Thanks for your continuing support and hope your making great gains with your Stronger Grip tools. Check out the picture of a custom Loadable Ball and chain setup that turned out very nice. Also the Colossal Sledge will be available very soon. It is..well Colossal! New Clubs will also be available this week. They are 26" long and have a 2" ball on handle end. These have been requested by many and here they are. There is one more item that I'm keeping under wraps. It is a throw back to old school days and will be a very desirable item when unleashed. I'm so excited and have been using these myself and can't wait to share them.
Keep training hard and stay tuned because things are going to only get bigger!

Stronger Grip Tip Of The Week

Strength seekers, it's Memorial day. Gods Peace to those who have lost loved ones and thanks to those who gave their lives for our freedom. We are in a country that has freedom and most don't take that as a blessing. Our freedom has been fought for and defended by our soldiers. Thank them.
Stronger Grip Tip Of The Week is a fantastic DIY. You will see what you need, how much it'll cost and what a great addition to your arsenal these will be. I was grabbing some other goodies for making some DIY grip and conditioning gear. Some of them needed access to a chop saw, sanding equipment and even a welder. Then I saw what I'm about to share with you now. Non-metallic 90 degree elbows. Very cool. They have a very comfortable arc and the diameter is close to 1-1/2". Best thing is they are as-is. So I grabbed a couple of them, (2) 5/16" quick links and (2) 6ft sections of chain. That's it. Very simple and brutally effective. Check the picture. All that was under $20. These handles work well for gymnastic rings, pull-up handles and sled pulling handles.
Here are two videos. Video 1 Video 2

Have an awesome week!

Stronger Grip Tip of the Week & an Unveiling!

Hey Strength Seekers. StrongerGrip is spreading like Wildfire! I'm blessed. Had my birthday on Sunday the 17th. Wonderful day! On that day a NEW toy was also born. Check out the SGTOTW video for it! The Stronger Grip Tip of the Week is on video and will give you wrists of steel. I have all the stuff for the pull-up and sled pull handles in garage, I'll get a video for that next week. At least that is my goal. You 'll enjoy it. I got to thinking, most of you probably don't have access to the equipment and tools I do, so hopefully you can make use of the DIY tip. If not I think this will be desireable as a package deal with a few tweaks to make them more verstaile and useful.
I lost my Grandpa this week. 97 years young! An incredible man. Not a soft man by any standard. He lived with no indoor plumbing all his life! What? Yes, my friends he had to get water out of a well on top of a hill in buckets and bring them down to the farm house to do dishes, bathe, everything you would do by turning on a handle he did the hard way. OK the well had a electric pump. So maybe he was a little spoiled. A great man with great work ethic. No complaining. Just did it. Where is that attitude these days? You'll be missed Grandpa. Love you.
Another reminder on Stronger Grip quality. When you invest in a Stronger Grip tool, you have something that will last. Materials used, design, and extreme care to quality. There are many shortcuts that can be taken, StrongerGrip will not even think about it. The objective of SG is High-Quality and creativity that bring you lasting and fun tools to help in your quest for strength & health.
Gods Peace & Strength!

Red Mace

Hey Strength seekers. It's a beautiful day here in Ia. Sun is shining and the fresh air is plentiful. Ahhh. I love life! Matt from Mass. wanted a 6" Mace painted Red. So here it is. It looks really cool! My friends at Primal fitness in Ca. requested some clubs a bit longer than the standard and a smaller knob on handle end. So next week, they will be available. They will be 26" long, 6" loadable globe and a 2" ball on end of handle. They will be another alternative to choose from.
Those not sure how clubs and maces fit into your training, here are some thoughts on the powerlifters and bodybuilders. The Stronger Grip clubs and maces are a great addition for your mobility and shoulder health. They offer excellent benefits to help in the recovery of and stability of the joints and muslces that take a beating from the punishment that your body gets. They can be used as a warmup, during and inbetween sets, and after or on off days as active recovery.
They do fit in and will only help you in your training.

Have a fantastic Thursday and make it yours!

Stronger Grip Tip of the week

Hello Strength seekers, The month of May is upon us and 09 is flying by! I'm going to start posting the SG Tip of the week on blog as well as in the Newsletter you sign up for on the site.
What a fantastic year so far. I only see it getting better. The SLS has been a hit in the short time it's been available. It is light enough empty to do some speed slamming and will load heavy enough to give you a great strength workout also. Very durable. I'll post video to prove that. Last weeks StrongerGrip tip was on using round thick tubing and square tubing as devices to increase grip strength while doing pull ups. I promised a video on that. You'll get one, on that and this weeks, because they go hand in hand. This week, take the round thick handled or square tube and use them for sled pulling. Oh yeah, of course, I'm sure most of you were already thinking that. So you have a terriffic arsenal to use with pull-ups and sled pulling for not much coin. I know that some of you want exact information, so I will go to hardware store and get everything that is needed to do this set up and I'll get back to you this week with prices and the exact stuff you'll need. And look for videos on the pull-ups and sled pulling using the StrongerGrip tip of the week!
Enjoy! To the right is a picture of a custom set of 15 lb solid globe clubs for Patti in California. Very Cool!

A Dream and Passion = Sucess

Hello Strength seekers. I apologize for so long between posts. I don't care for excuses, so I won't give any. I am actively working on getting more efficient and scheduling my time better. We all only have 24 hrs. What we choose to do with it is up to us. There is always time.
I wanted to talk a bit about a small town boy with a Dream and a Passion for strength. How humbling it has been to have some of the leading strength people in the world promote Stronger Grip. How is it possible for an Iowa boy to have great people like Dennis Rogers, Louie Simmons, Josh Henkin who carry StrongerGrip tools and countless others use StrongerGrip. I am truly blessed and will continue to put my heart into StrongerGrip products. That is what people buy. More than just a product, but something that somebody puts their passion into. StrongerGrip is going on two years of business. A lot has happened in a short time. The great stuff you all enjoy is being made in a garage still, but plans for future expansion are being looked into. The next step I'd like to pursue is have a full blown shop where StrongerGrip elves churn out the magical strength tools and also have a Stronger Grip gym, where people can come get some functional, result producing workouts with some of the finest tools instead of being shown how to do a bicep curl 10 different ways. Dreams are being realized and new ones are being dreamt. Thanks for joining along. Those that signed up for the emailing list will be getting a newsletter on a regular basis starting next week.

Good Friday-What's coming at StrongerGrip

Hey strength seekers. Hope everyone has a blessed Easter. Things are hopping at StrongerGrip headquarters. Thanks to all for the great support and enthusiasm for what SG is and offers. Top priority for StrongerGrip is high quality and first class customer service. With that you'll also get innovative and unique new tools to bring you closer to your quest for strength and health. Were getting a nice response to the PLS( Plate Loadable Shovel) and everyones still anticipating the SLS( Shot Loadable Sledge). It will be unveiled next week!!!!! Super cool!! Everything else I'll keep hush, hush till I get more time to make them reality. The finger strengthening tools will also be ready for you very soon. And like most StrongerGrip tools, very simple and very effective.
Got a great testimonial fro the FIGHT mag guys. I'll be posting it on the site and will also keep you posted on the issue that you can see the SG clubs in. They redid their FIGHT gear section and that prolonged the Club review. It'll be awesome! Know any MMA fighters? Send em to Strongergrip.com and help them get the edge.
One last note. The SG Trailer Hitch has been popular and not only can it be used on the other end of the Gut Wrench, We'll soon be offering a Olympic sleeve plug in that makes it into another grip building tool. It'll be similar to a leverage ball.
